Fun Fact: The swimming pool scene in the movie was inspired by a James Bond movie “Thunderball.” The original script of Passengers had a much darker tone that had to be toned down.

The movie has no dialogue, yet the way that the movie was made was absolutely captivating. The movie shows humans as they have traveled to another planet because Earth has been deemed unfit for survival due to Environmental issues. 

Wall-E is a trash compactor robot on Earth, and while Wall-E keeps himself busy, he meets another futuristic robot called EVE, which is sent to Earth to look for any signs of life so that Earth can be repopulated again. Wall-E then helps EVE look for signs of life, forming a bond with her in the process.

The story revolves around Henry, a man who has the ability to involuntarily time travel without any command of it. His wife Clare has to face a lot of problems as Henry keeps time traveling, and she has to wait for him to arrive so that they can continue their bond together. 

However, Clare eventually begins questioning everything and starts to ponder whether all of this is worth it or not. She becomes conflicted within herself as she needs to make a decision for herself.

While you may know Jim Carrey as one of the best comedians of all time, he has done some serious movies as well, which includes this one. The best part is that his co-star in the movie is the gorgeous Kate Winslet. 

Joel Barish (Jim Carrey) is a cynical man who decides out of impulse that he would want to have his ex-girlfriend Clementine (Kate Winslet) removed from his memories through a scientific procedure that erases memories. The only reason why he does so is that he learns that Clementine did the same for him too. 

However, as the process goes on, Joel’s subconscious mind realizes that he still loves Clementine with everything that he has, and since the process has already started, there is no going back now. Hence begins the struggle to keep Clementine in his memories. 

The movie is an absolute masterpiece, and you should definitely watch it the first chance that you get!

Fun Fact: Clementine’s hair color signifies the standing of her relationship with Joel. Reddish Auburn represents the happy days, “Agent Orange” represents when it starts going bad, Blue represents a blank state and Green represents the beginning of their relationship.
